5The best in the series!Oct 07, 2011
By M. Palmer "Michelle P."
This was my favorite one of all three, I believe...

Ryan is the only sibling of the Jeffords' who is unmarried. He recently watched the whirlwind courtship and marriage of his brother and sister, but has decided that's just not for him. But then he meets independent Ivy...

Ivy left Eden several years before under bad terms. She had lived a colorful life and held secrets that kept her feeling sad at the mere thought of it. But after becoming a Christian, Ivy was ready to face her past and confront her future. She no longer wanted to live in sin, but wanted to do the will of the Lord. But will her father and brother-in-law allow her to do what needs to be done?

Some hard things happen in this book, yet Ryan is there for Ivy! This book isn't full of roses and walks on the beach. They walk in the shadow of death in in the depths of despair. Some hard, ugly things happen. Ivy is not the angelic little girl - she's a human being who's made some human mistakes. But the rumors flying around are much worse than what the truth actually is!

I LOVED the ending of this one! I was SHOCKED to find out the truth - WOW...I did NOT see that one coming!!!

This was a nice wrap up to the trilogy. I must say I hoped for more romance in these books. I remember how overboard James went in her first series she wrote, but it seems she went to the other extreme...

Still though - GREAT books!

4Great Conflict in This Book!Nov 18, 2013
By Denise Davis "Denise"
I own this book. There are not many Love Inspired books that I like, because, sorry...they are so corny-either too sweet, or too boring. I mean, just because it's a Christian romance doesn't mean it should lack a solid interesting, conflict filled story line. The heroine Ivy comes back to her hometown after living a bad life. The town and even her own father is against her! The one thing she regrets is treating the hero Ryan behind, but coming back she gets another chance with him. He is cool, too. He hangs out with her despite what others say. Everyone in town is talking about her, and you feel for her as she really changed her life and all, but it's so realistic. I hate books that paint Christian people as perfect and not do anything wrong to people. I have experienced, as sure as I know some of you ahve the exact opposite. I mean, after all this is the real world-I am glad this book was truthful. Definitely a good read, I hope her other books have the same punch.

5Peggy from St. LouisOct 15, 2013

Gossip can truly hurt. It takes off like a wildfire, scorching everything it its path. It can cost a person dearly, if they don't turn it over to God and trust in his mercy and love.

5Good ReadMar 18, 2013

It is a good read. The characters have depth but not too deep that you get tired from drama like some books ... just a nice mix of life and a few prayers to handle relationships thrown in.
